(Photo by Harry How/Getty Images)Urban Meyer is no longer coaching Ohio State this year. As part of his new gig at Fox Sports, Meyer will occasionally have to talk about Michigan.Or, in the case of this morning, he won’t talk about them much, even when asked. The Wolverines are playing Army this afternoon and Meyer was asked what they have to do to stop the Black Knights’ triple option attack. His response? On defending Army’s option. “What do the Wolverines have to do today?”Urban Meyer: “I don’t know. It’s not my problem.”— Eleven Warriors (@11W) September 7, 2019 It seems like Meyer is buying into the role of occasionally tweaking or trolling Michigan on air. He left OSU but the rivalry probably will never leave him.To be fair, he did followup with a little bit of football insight on defending the option.Meyer follows up by saying the origin of Cover-2 was to get a corner up in run support against option teams.— Eleven Warriors (@11W) September 7, 2019Meyer ended up giving a tutorial on defending the triple option, as well:First, he showed us how to run the triple option. Now, @CoachUrbanMeyer gives us a deep dive on how to defend it 👀📝 pic.twitter.com/N6zr1fKTRV— FOX College Football (@CFBONFOX) September 7, 2019Michigan and Army will kick off at noon ET today on FOX from “The Big House” in Ann Arbor. As for Ohio State, the Buckeyes are taking on Urban’s alma mater Cincinnati at home.
